Chucktown Gun Club (CGC) is the Charleston area chapter of the National African American Gun Association (NAAGA). CGC exists to be a community asset. By A.S.S.E.T. we mean Advocacy for Safety, Self-Defense, Education and Training of Firearms. Despite the rumors, there is a rich history and legacy of gun ownership of African Americans in this country. Having been around since 2017 and organized as a 501c(3) in July 2023, we are continuously building the organization, the community and our members. As an organization, one of our goals is to have every African American introduced to firearm use for home protection, competitive shooting, and outdoor recreational activities. We welcome people of all religious, political, social, and racial backgrounds.
STOP BY FOR A VISIT
Our meetings are on the 4th Saturday of the month during the odd months. Meetings take place at C&S Shooting Sports on Rivers Ave in North Charleston at 4:30 pm sharp. Feel free to stop in and see what we are about. You’ll have the opportunity to observe the meeting, ask questions and see who we are and what we do.
